A Walkley Award finalist and Quill Award finalist, Anthony has earned national recognition for visual storytelling across Australia, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Antarctica.

His career began aboard Princess Cruises, filming erupting volcanoes in Papua New Guinea, cliff diving in Mexico, and cultural festivals across Asia. Returning to Australia, he transitioned into fast-paced commercial television news, covering federal politics, press conferences, natural disasters, major sporting events, and breaking international stories, including field coverage of the Christchurch massacre, the Queen’s funeral in London, US presidential elections, and refugee camps in Bangladesh.

Anthony spent years shooting and producing long-form feature documentaries and scripted segments for Network 10's Logie Award-winning program The Project, as well as authoring the technical visual style guide for 10 News+. His international broadcast work includes serving as an on-ground producer for ITN (UK) breaking news and filming as a cinematographer for Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) across multiple Olympic Games.

Today, Anthony is trusted by world-leading brands, major networks, and organisations including Boeing, Paramount, Network 10, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), ABC Television, Hachette Australia, the ARIA Awards, Diversity Arts Australia, and Great Southern Land Conservancy. Whether producing and directing long-form documentaries, capturing red-carpet coverage, or filming sit-down features with major icons like Ryan Reynolds, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Michael Bublé, Phil Collins, Dwayne Johnson, and Cathy Freeman, he delivers polished, high-end content across broadcast, digital, and commercial platforms.

From interviewing global icons like the Jonas Brothers in India to documenting life on Australia’s remote Antarctic research bases, Anthony combines technical cinematography with deep human empathy, capturing extraordinary moments that connect with global audiences.

Anthony Hawwa is a highly talented cameraman and producer, whose creativity and hard work have provided Network 10’s The Project with some of its best stories - earning him recognition as a Walkley Award finalist, Quill Awards finalist, and Gold MACA award winner.

Anthony is a major asset because of his rare ability to research, film, produce and script feature pieces. These have ranged from personality profiles to investigative stories.

He is as inventive as he is creative. He strives to achieve a point of difference that will make his work stand out in a cluttered media landscape.

On top of everything else, his vibrant personality makes him a delightful and helpful colleague.

I wish there were more like him.

OLYMPIC BROADCASTING SERVICE

Anthony is an outstanding cameraman, in 17 years of sports broadcasting he is genuinely one of the most talented operators I have ever worked with. His eye for a shot is superb, as is understanding of the story and the visual elements needed to tell it. He always shoots to edit, offering multiple options to the post production team. More importantly he's a great guy, who makes both interviewees and talent feel comfortable on any shoot.
